Handbook for OSM Test-Mapping
Hello fellow mappers, My handbook for TransforMap-ping with JOSM is out now! Two caveats: * It helps if you're a “tech guy” not afraid of using new software, and investing a little time to learn a new program (JOSM is the “professional” OSM editor, I've only added entry masks and no step-by-step guide yet) * The handbook is German only atm :-/ It is based on a handbook for a German OSM project I've written earlier this year, translating would have taken too long atm, sorry... You can find it behind the link¹, source (OpenDocument) is also available in the Github repository. [1] https://github.com/species/josm-preset-transformap/raw/master/Handbuch%20Tra... JOSM itself is available in many languages, and the Transformap entry mask currently in English and German. If someone has time to translate the manual, help would be much appreciated! Also, if you find some errors, do not keep them, share them to improve the document :-) I would be grateful if test-mapping starts asap with this guide! If you have any questions (you will, you're Alpha testers now ☺), please share them on the proposal's discussion page² or write me an email personally. thanks michael! I can only add that I had no problems working with JOSM, even though I'm not a tech guy :) - you possibly need someone who gives you some hints to getting started. all the best Brigitte Am Mittwoch, den 01.10.2014, 15:02 +0200 schrieb Michael Maier:
